Hy-Vee ‘Free $80 Off Coupon’ Facebook Scam

Yet another free coupon scam is currently hitting Facebook.

This version claims that employee-owned US supermarket chain Hy-Vee is giving everyone a free $80 off coupon to celebrate the company’s 75th anniversary.

The supposed giveaway post has no connection to Hy-Vee and nobody who participates will ever receive the promised free coupon. 

The post is a scam designed to trick you into first spamming your friends with the same bogus giveaway and then divulging your personal information on suspect third-party websites.
