According to a post that is currently circulating via WhatsApp, you should not join a group called “Hearts of Love”.
Supposedly, the group belongs to devil worshippers and, if you join, you will not be able to exit. It asks you to send the message on to inform others of the danger.
Here’s what the post looks like:
The Warning is a Hoax
However, the supposed warning is just an updated version of an earlier hoax that claimed the sinister WhatsApp group belonged to the terrorist organization ISIS rather than Satanists.
As the following example shows, the Satanist version has almost identical wording to the ISIS version:
There is a ‘whatsapp group called ‘Interschools, if invited, don’t join the group, it belongs to Daesh(ISIS). If you join the group you will not be able to exit from it, be vigilant, please inform others, send it to your relatives and children on whatsapp so that they will also be careful.
As I discuss in more detail here, the ISIS version was complete nonsense. And so is this version.
Of course, there are many thousands of WhatsApp groups on just about every topic that you could think of. Some may be for people who wish to worship the devil. Regardless of how sinister the intentions of a WhatsApp group might be, they have no magical ability to stop you from exiting if you did join. You can exit from and delete a WhatsApp group at any time as described here.
